The possibility of an eBay billing error was reported and sellers should check their invoices for fees posted on March 16, 2006.

In the newsletter from The Auction Guild, the following billing error was explained.  There is no posting on the eBay Announcement board, but just take a minute to check your account through "My eBay" and make sure your fees look correct for that date.

That newsletter reported that:

On March 16, some sellers found that eBay had overcharged them on relist fees.  For example, an .35 cent fee was charged as $4.80.

When contacted, eBay confirmed this was a glitch in the system, but they didn't post anywhere about it, nor check sellers account to find any errors and notify those affected.

In the past, eBay has waited for sellers to check their own account, and notify them if there is a billing problem.  They do not contact you and offer to refund your account.    Check your account, and be sure if there was a billing glitch, that you were not affected.
