eBay has put the Anonymous Forwarding feature on hold after running into some snags:

 

Hi, this is Sonia again. I'm sorry to say we've run into some unexpected product-related issues while testing the Anonymous Email Forwarding feature [http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200611090929232.html].

 

These issues could cause complications for buyers and sellers that choose to use this feature to communicate with each other. Bearing in mind that the ability to communicate with your buyers and sellers is critical on eBay especially during the holidays, we have decided to wait to launch this feature.
