The form you now use to sell on eBay, the "Sell Your Item 2.0" (SYI) form, was introduced in 2002.  The current form was the result of seller's requesting that the selling form be broken into logical sections and to attempt make the flow more organized and less intimidating for new sellers eBay wants your help in making it even better!

Currently, eBay's top request from sellers is to make the current form shorter and more efficient. The "SYI Alpha 2" form is the next generation (when Alpha Version 3 will start), and eBay wants your help in testing it, and give your feedback.  The Alpha version will work with all browsers and operating systems, including Mozilla and Macintosh.

The Alpha programs will help eBay prepare the Beta testing program, which will be the last step before releasing the new SYI form!  If you want to give your input to the new form, try it for a few listings.  You can always choose to use either system.

There are some limitations.  Please visit the site to see all the limitations for the Alpha phase only.  Among them are:

• You can sell only (not relist, sell a similar or revise a listing)
• You cannot list an item in a category that requires "Item Specifics." (you can use the regular form for these functions)
• Will not work in all categories
• You can only use eBay Picture Services or insert pictures manually with HTML in the Item Description field

You'll be able to give your feedback in 2 ways:

• After you successfully create a listing using SYI Alpha 2, you'll see a congratulations message on the Sell page. Click the "Tell us what you think" link that appears with this message.

• To report bugs or provide feedback, you can send an email to syialpha@ebay.com
