Check out what's new!  Here's a list of new features that will add even more value to your Seller Sourcebook membership.  These new features are another step toward streamlining the listing process, and to help you save time and stay organized when you sit down to create your auction listings:
New Site Upgrades

Our new version offers you new features that make our system work better with more browsers and will lead to more exciting upgrades around the corner. We know it is always painful to some when we do an upgrade and pure joy for others. To give you time to digest if you need it, we will always include a link to the previous site at the bottom of the "Main Page" that you log in to.

Major Change:

The most major change is to the Action bar in the Listing Generator. We have condensed the Actions into two button menus. Here is an example of these buttons:

Our Action bar was quickly running out of space for all the new options and control you will have in the future. It is important for us to have your workspace instantly visible and not have to scroll down to start your auction, and with a new box for categorizing your listings when you save them. We certainly hope that those of you who find this troublesome now, can appreciate why it needs to happen.

Notable Changes:

  • New: Categories in Saved Listings.
You can now create categories to manage your saved listings. A saved listing can be in more than one category. When saving your listing, just click on each category you want it to appear in. If listings are already saved, you may categorize your listings from within the Saved Listing page. This is also where you would create your categories.

  • New: Get Code in Saved Listings.
You no longer have to open your listing to grab your code. In many cases you can even do it from Preview.

  • New: Delete photos in Selected Listings
Now, when you delete a saved listing you no longer need, you have the option of having the photos in those listings deleted as well. Caution!!! Remember, that if your photo is deleted, it will NOT show up in your auction, so make sure the photos that get deleted are not in another listing.

  • New: Update/Replace old Listing Profile info in your Saved Listings with updated Listing Profile info in your Preferences.
Made changes to your profile and want the changes automatically updated in some or all of your older saved listings as well? Now you can do it.

  • Enhancement: Get Code
There is often much confusion in the Get Code options. Hopefully we have made it clear that the 'Copy Code' button is the preferred method. We have also modified this to 'almost' work like it does in IE for Firefox, Netscape, Opera and Safari users. While you can still download and email code, these are considered 'Advanced' options and have been moved out of the action bar to avoid confusion for new users.

  • Enhancement: Actionbar 'Buttons'
We are simply running out of space in the action bar adding new features. Actionbar 'Buttons' tidy up the screen by triggering flyout menus. The default is to popup the menu when you click the button. You can change this behavior to clicking instead in your System Preferences.

  • Change: Empty Pictureholders
If you select 12 photos and then decide you don't want 2 or 3 of them, you probably cleared the photos you didn't want and then got frustrated when you previewed your listing only to see the empty photos? So then you went back and adjusted the # of photos only to find the last 2 or 3 gone, and you had to re-add them to the empty placeholders? Well, we all make mistakes, so now you can clear at will. When you preview, the empty placeholders are ignored. When you get your code, they will be ignored, and the # of photos will be adjusted as well. If you REALLY need the old behaviour (I saw one user request it, so here it is) you can go back to the old behaviour in your System Preferences under the 'Auction Listing Generator' section. (Remove unchosen photos in preview and code:)

  • Move: Show Captions
This is now in the photo area where it belongs. Captions are meant to be dispayed for the most part, so we decided to get this out of the way.

  • Old: Flash logos
Old features were in the last version, but not publicized. So maybe now is the time. swf (Flash) images can be uploaded to your Photo Manager with the following limitation. They will be automatically categorized in your 'My Logos' category. They cannot at this time be used in a listing photo area, but only in the Logo area. As soon as we finish reworking our templates, this restriction will be lifted.

  • Old: Super Picker
Want to create a listing fast? Put all the images you want in a listing into a category. Now open a new listing and ignore the # of photos (well, you need at least 1). Now in the image picker, choose that category and you will see a button labeled 'Super Picker'. Click the button and all the photos in that category will be automatically added and selected to your listing. Caution. I say 'added', but it does not add to previously selected images, it replaces them.

SSB takes every precaution to ensure our upgrades are bug free and work with a wide variety of browsers, however, it is impossible to ensure that something wasn't overlooked, or some new feature may not work properly in your choice of a browser. For this reason, to avoid any disruption to your listing, we include a link to the last version of the software in case you experience a problem with the new version. Please contact the Help Desk if you experience any problem with the new version.

If you need to use the older version, look for this link:
