PayPal spoof emails from deceptive individuals and
companies continue to be sent en masse to unsuspecting PayPal customers.
So, be suspecting! Some look so real, and this one
is surfacing again.
It appears to be a real payment and the From: email
appears to be a real PayPal email. If you roll over the "Dispute
Transaction" link, it's a company looking to verify your contact info so they
can SPAM you, or sell the "good" email address. Worse, they could be
asking for personal financial information, that some will unknowingly
give.
For fake PayPal emails, forward with headers to spoof@paypal.com. Always correspond
with PayPal through your account. Any real dispute will be listed there,
and can be initiated from there. NEVER click on links in an email.
